Living life with God happens with other people and we continue to grow and learn for our whole lives. Aragon UMC offers multiple options for you to dive deeper into your faith and to grow in love and grace.

Every Sunday morning at 10:00 am, classes are offered for every age group. Below is a brief list of some of the options for you to grow in faith on Sunday mornings.

  • Adult Sunday School Class
  • Women’s Class
  • Young Adult Bible Study
  • Youth Class (Grades 6-12)
  • Older Elementary (Grades 4-5)
  • Younger Elementary (Grades 2-3)
  • Little Ones (ages 3 – 1st grade)
  • Loving childcare is also offered in our nursery.

We also gather throughout on Wednesday evenings for fellowship and study of Scripture. At 6:00, we welcome any and all to join us for a free fellowship meal, and classes are offered at 6:45 for adults and children. Adult classes are short-term rotating studies that are easy to join at any time. Aragon UMC also offers long-term covenant studies like DISCIPLE Bible Study which require a greater commitment for in-depth Biblical study. Classes are open to all adults and are generally free, although sometimes a donation is requested for study materials.

Some past and current classes include:

Three Simple Rules: Basic Principles for Christian Living – Patterned after John Wesley’s General Rules for the first Methodists, join us as we explore three simple rules for living life following Christ: “Do No Harm. Do All The Good You Can. Stay in Love With God.” They are simple, but quite profound as you explore the full meaning of each rule. Join us as we study these Three Simple Rules during Lent 2010.

SpiritGifts – We are told in the Bible that God gives each of us gifts through the Holy Spirit. What are these gifts? What are they for? How are we to use them? Join us as we study God’s work in us through the Holy Spirit, and hopefully you’ll discover what your spiritual gifts are and how you might better use them for the glory of God and for the common good.

Waiting for Jesus: An Advent Study – Come explore some of the Old Testament Scriptures that help us more deeply understand the meaning and the mission of Jesus Christ as Messiah. A great way to discover the true meaning of Christmas!

Being Church: A 10 Week Study of Acts – What does it mean for us to “be the church?” How did the first disciples answer the call, and how did the Holy Spirit work in them to reach the world for Jesus Christ? Come explore key passages of the Book of Acts and discover how we can “be the church” today!
