Starting next Wednesday, September 9th, Aragon UMC will offer two opportunities for in depth study of Scripture. Sunday morning worship is foundational for Christians to gather and give thanks to God – and it is also incredibly important for people of faith to gather together and discuss Scripture and how it impacts our life today. We hope that you will join us as we study, fellowship, converse, and pray together. The two options this fall are:
Wednesday Nights – Being Church: a 10 week study of the Book of Acts. Have you ever wondered what it really meant to be the Church? How did the earliest Christians order their lives and ministry? What does any of this have to do with us in 2009? Join us for conversation and exploration on what it means to be the Church. This class starts Wednesday, September 9th at 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. We’ll gather to share a simple meal and fellowship together, and then we’ll begin our discussion at 6:45 pm. Everyone is welcome and invited to join us each week or any week for this study – no advance preparation is required!
Sunday Nights – DISCIPLE: Becoming Disciples through Bible Study. Beginning September 13 at 6:30 pm and continuing until spring 2010, this covenant discipleship class will meet to explore major portions of Scripture and will seek to explore what it means to be a Disciple of Jesus Christ. The class is limited in size and advance registration is required. Please contact Rev. Andy if you are interested in being a part of the 2009 DISCIPLE class.
I am excited about our Fall classes and I hope you are as well!
